Biography

Vincent Bakker is an expert in complex energy investments. As Co-Founder and CFO of Positive Energy he utilises his experience to simplify the financing of smaller renewable energy projects, enabling sustainable electrification of the APAC region.
Vincent strongly believes in high ethical standards and transparency in business, and that the 21st century will be shaped by greater public accountability. Brought together this will create a more sustainable, fair and inclusive business environment.
He has worked on all sides of investments (acquisitions, divestments and organic growth projects), in all phases (from early screening, to operate, to decommissioning) in a variety of roles. He has negotiated with commercial parties as well as governments (including Indonesia, Brunei and Kazakhstan) when working for Shell. He has a MSc. in Financial Engineering & Management and is accredited Chartered Global Management Accountant. He moved to Singapore in 2014 where he happily lives with his wife and son.
